I really love my backdrops. They are a staple when working in the studio. I tend to favor hand painted muslin for a classic look, but I've been curious about working with solid colors. Recently I decided the time had come to give one a try. Savage (https://savageuniversal.com/) has a great selection of seamless paper in an assortment of different colors. Each one I looked at was my next new favorite. Even after I placed my order, I started second-guessing my decision. Did I pick the right color? How would it photograph? I was hoping for something that would be bright enough and would easily show off the color of the paper without being too distracting.
I was pretty excited when I got the order, and since I had scheduled a session a few days later, so it was going to be used right away.
The screenshot is a selection of images from my shoot with Hannah and Hayden. The two sisters look fantastic (I will blog about their session in a future post). It's easy to see how the color palette is just full of these beautiful brown tones. The background color compliments the skin tones, and wardrobe beautifully.
There's no question this will be a great addition to my other selection of backdrops. If you're like me and just love this look message me to begin planning your own session using the new cocoa backdrop.
